Duckett Truck Centers has approximately 150 employees in 6 locations spanning 2 states. They needed to improve the design, management and support of the internal technology infrastructure, which had outgrown the knowledge and experience of their IT staff. Day-to-day support and timely project completion had become ongoing challenges.
Solution:
Offered both IT Arsenal managed network support services (for supplementing current IT staff) and IT Outsourcing (to become the only IT support), with the option for Technology and Networking to employ key IT personnel from Duckett Truck Centers. Duckett Truck Centers chose complete IT Outsourcing because the value proposition was better than simply supplementing their IT staff.
Results/Benefit:
Technology and Networking, which has been providing IT Outsourcing and network management since 2001, worked with Duckett Truck Centers to return control of the network infrastructure to them and to rollout support services and vendor management to all their users. Technology and Networking also identified a number of additional challenges in the environment and quickly resolved them, even before Duckett Truck Centers knew that they existed.
Turnaround time on project completion, day-to-day support, and overall availability of Duckett Truck Centers technology has now drastically improved. In a recent instance of a major service provider’s after-hours outage, John Rowland (Owner/GM) said this:
